Have quality domain names ready to sell? DaaZ now offers free auction listings for durations of 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7 days, making it easier for domain owners to bring their assets to market without paying upfront listing fees.

DaaZ has updated its auction pricing structure to provide greater flexibility and accessibility to domain sellers worldwide.

Whether you own a single premium domain or manage a large domain portfolio, you can now submit eligible domain names for short-duration auctions without paying an upfront listing fee.

This update is part of DaaZ’s ongoing efforts to reduce barriers to domain trading while maintaining a quality-focused global auction marketplace.

Choose from Five Free Auction Durations

Every domain name is different, and sellers may have different objectives when bringing their domains to auction.

Some sellers prefer shorter auctions to test immediate market interest, while others want to allow more time for potential buyers to participate.

DaaZ now offers five free auction duration options:

Auction DurationUpfront Listing Fee
1 DayFREE
2 DaysFREE
3 DaysFREE
5 DaysFREE
7 DaysFREE
Longer Than 7 Days, Up to 30 DaysPaid

Sellers can select the auction duration that best suits their domain and selling strategy.

The existing paid auction options remain available for sellers who prefer auctions lasting longer than seven days, with DaaZ supporting auction durations of up to 30 days.

No Upfront Listing Fee. Pay Only When You Sell.

Eligible domain names can be submitted for auctions lasting up to seven days without paying an upfront listing fee.

A 9% success fee applies when an auction results in a completed sale, subject to DaaZ’s applicable minimum success fee.

For example, if a domain sells for $2,000, the standard 9% success fee would be $180, leaving $1,820 for the seller, assuming no other applicable charges.

If the auction does not result in a sale, no auction success fee is charged.

This allows sellers to explore auction-based selling without committing to an upfront listing expense.

Fair Usage Policy: Up to 15 Free Auction Submissions Every 7 Days

To maintain an efficient, quality-focused auction marketplace, DaaZ applies a fair usage policy to free auction submissions.

Each seller account can submit up to 15 domain names for free auction consideration within a rolling seven-day period.

The policy is designed to provide fair access to auction opportunities while ensuring that submissions receive appropriate quality and reserve price reviews.

The following conditions apply:

  • Free auction submissions are limited to 15 domain names per seller account within a rolling seven-day period.
  • Each submitted domain counts towards the allowance, including submissions that are subsequently rejected.
  • All auction submissions are subject to DaaZ’s quality review and approval.
  • Proposed reserve prices must be reasonable and are subject to review.
  • Creating multiple accounts to bypass submission limits is not permitted.
  • Sellers with larger portfolios may contact DaaZ Support to request an increased allowance.
  • DaaZ may adjust submission limits or eligibility requirements based on marketplace demand and operational considerations.

The fair usage policy helps maintain a balanced auction environment, encouraging sellers to select their strongest domain names for submission.

Have Quality Domains in Your Portfolio?

Many domain investors own valuable domain names that may appeal to businesses, startups, entrepreneurs and fellow investors.

However, not every domain receives the same level of buyer attention through traditional fixed-price or Make Offer listings.

Domain auctions provide another selling channel where interested buyers can participate through competitive bidding during a defined auction period.

Sellers may wish to consider submitting:

  • Short, memorable and brandable domain names.
  • Premium generic domains with commercial relevance.
  • Strong keyword domains serving established industries.
  • Geographic domain names with meaningful buyer potential.
  • High-quality domains across popular and emerging extensions.
  • Selected investment-grade domains with realistic reserve prices.

DaaZ supports a broad range of domain extensions, enabling sellers to submit eligible domains from different global markets.

You may already own a domain name that a prospective buyer is looking for. An auction provides another opportunity to bring that domain to market.

Quality Comes First: Every Auction Is Reviewed

Although listing fees have been waived for shorter auctions, DaaZ continues to maintain quality standards for auction submissions.

Every auction submission is reviewed before approval.

Our evaluation considers factors such as domain quality, commercial relevance and the proposed reserve price.

We encourage sellers to focus on domain names with genuine market potential and set realistic reserves that can encourage buyer participation.

Not every submitted domain will qualify for auction approval.

Our objective is to create an auction environment where buyers can discover relevant, attractive domain assets and sellers can benefit from meaningful buyer interest.

Why Consider DaaZ Auctions?

Different domain names benefit from different selling approaches.

DaaZ offers several established selling formats, including Buy It Now, Make Offer, Auctions and Lease to Own.

Auctions can be particularly useful when sellers want to:

  • Introduce selected domain names to a wider marketplace audience.
  • Offer a domain for sale during a defined bidding period.
  • Explore current buyer interest in a particular domain.
  • Provide buyers with an opportunity to participate in competitive bidding.
  • Create additional selling opportunities for selected portfolio assets.

An auction does not guarantee a sale, but it offers another way to present domain names to potential buyers.
